Red Bee members take 3%

Members in Red Bee Media, formerly BBC Broadcast, have voted by a large majority to accept a 3% pay increase.

In a postal ballot 80% of BECTU members voted in favour of the union negotiated 3% offer, backed by a minumum cash increase of 600.

Additionally almost all staff with more than 12 months' employment received a bonus of 1000, and the company promised there would be no increase in pension contributions until August 2007.

Red Bee, owned by Australian Banking group Macquarie, is expected to reveal healthy profits later this year when its accounts are published.
