Don't sign letters

BBCT and News staff are being advised not to sign letters circulated by Siemens.

The letters, circulated last Friday (10 September 2004), ask staff to sign and return a copy of the letter.

The union is advising members not to sign these letters because they will prejudice current negotiations on the proposed privatisation of BBC Technology.

In particular the points concerning expenses and IT policy are still being discussed between the union and management.

The above advice is in force until further notice.
