News suspension

Industrial action in London News Support has been suspended.

This follows a meeting between the union and local management yesterday (17 November 2003).

There has been a number of weeks of successful industrial action opposing the introduction of unagreed working hours changes in IT areas of News Support based at Television Centre.

The industrial action has been suspended with immediate effect pending the outcome of further talks between BECTU and management in an attempt to resolve the dispute.
