2003 Resources offer accepted

Nearly 92% voting in a ballot favour this year's BBC Resources pay offer.

The union has accepted the BBC Resources pay offer, covering 12 months from April 2003, following a ballot of BECTU members in which 91.9% of those responding voted in favour.

The offer includes:

  • 2.9% increase in pensionable salary and related payments.
  • Improvements in operational trainees' conditions and salary.
  • London weighting increase favouring lower paid.
  • Minimum basic salary of £11,834.
  • Redeployment arrangement extended to April 2005.
Amicus, jointly representing Electrical categories, have also accepted the offer.

The offer covers staff in BBC Resources, which includes the following departments:

  • London Television Centre Studios
  • London Television OBs
  • Post Production in London, Birmingham and Bristol
