2003 training courses

Four BBC BECTU Branch Officers' training courses have been organised for 2003.

The courses last three days each, and include the following:

• The role of the Accredited Representative
• Facilities and time off: the BBC Agreement
• Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures
• Dealing with Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures
• Negotiating in the BBC
• Negotiating in the BBC: local negotiations
• Branch organisation and recruitment
• Branch organisation – involving members

The courses will be held at BECTU Head Office, 373-377 Clapham Road, London SW9 9BT, and will run 0900 to 1700 each day. The courses will be held on:

• 4, 5, 6 February 2003
• 1, 2, 3 April 2003
• 24, 25, 26 June 2003
• 30 September and 1, 2 October 2003

Travel and accommodation expenses will be paid for by BECTU.

The courses are designed for BECTU Branch Representatives in the BBC, and paid time off is available. Individual time off requests will need to be arranged direct with the applicant's management - if there are any difficulties refer to BECTU Head Office.
