Corporation card review

A BBC-wide review of the use of chargecards is being carried out.

This follows complaints from union members that revised arrangements have put financial responsibility for such cards on individuals.

BECTU and the NUJ have called for the introduction of proper company cards in line with other organisations. Amongst possible recommendations of the review, being carried out by Finance Division, are:

• "Location" cards being issued to some production staff.
• Easier regime for cash advances.
• More use of direct billing to the BBC.

However concern remains that the recommendations will not include taking the financial onus away from individual cardholders.
