In the context of BECTU membership BBC staff includes those employed by organisations providing continuing services to the BBC, including:

• Capita
• Eurest (Sutcliffes)
• Johnson Controls [formerly Land Securities Trillium]
• Mitie (based in Scotland)
• OCE (office printing in London)
• OCS
• Red Bee [formerly BBC Broadcast]
• Securitas (based in Bristol)
• Siemens SIS and SEC [formerly BBC Technology]
• SIS [formerly BBC Resources Television Outside Broadcasts]
• VT Communications [formerly Merlin] (international transmitters)
• Wilson James (security)
• Xansa [formerly Medas]

Staff in the above organisations are eligible for BECTU BBC membership if they work on contracts to provide ongoing services to the BBC.
